World’s Largest vaccination campaign has been launched in India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to give shots to the public against the corona virus to control the pandemic.
Prime Minister Modi has priortise the front line workers i.e. the doctors, nurses and other frontline workers.
“This will be the world’s largest vaccination programme covering the entire length and breadth of the country,” told Modi.
Hopefully 300 million people roughly will get the shots, Indian authorities estimated.
These includes 30 million doctors, nurses and other frontline workers and 270 million people are those who are over 50 years of age or have illnesses.
India has approved emergency use of two vaccines , Oxford vaccine and AstraZeneca’s vaccine. Another country made vaccine made by Bharat Biotech have also been approved by the Indian officials.
