Special vaccination campaign “Door to Door Social Mobilization” has been launched by Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SHD), Sarah Aslam
The special vaccination campaign will run from 26th July to August 10th. At union council level, citizens will be vaccinated at their doorsteps.
According to the Sec P&SHD Sarah Aslam, Minimum 40% population of Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala and Faisalabad will be vaccinated in this campaign, moreover minimum 70% population of Rawalpindi will also be vaccinated during this campaign. The campaign will be launched at the level of union council in view of the need and public convenience.
Reviewing COVID-19 current stats, On special instructions for intensive vaccination drive a huge rise is observed in vaccination drive . Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam told about vaccination double hattrick of over 3 lac vaccination per day in Punjab، she says that *ONLY & ONLY Vaccination* is the real remedy against COVID & its new Delta Varient.
Sarah Aslam highlights increase in corona cases , as 592 cases are reported in 24 hours getting tally to 354,904. 331،704 patients are fully recovered and active cases are 12,207 till date. 6 more deaths have reported in Lahore, whereas overall deaths in Punjab are 17, bringing the total of 10,993 till date. Total tests conducted are 6,119,946 while 17,667 tests has processed in recent 24 hours, 245 cases in Lahore, 147 cases in Rawalpindi, 54 cases in Bhakar, 39 cases in Mianwali, 28 cases in Faisalabad, 11 cases in Multan, 10 cases in Hafizabad, 9 cases in Khushab, 9 cases in Sheikhupura, 6 cases in Pakpattan, 5 cases in Bahawalpur, 5 cases in Sialkot. Respectively 4 cases are reported in Chiniot, Rahim Yar Khan and Sargodha, 3 cases in Dera Ghazi Khan, 2 cases in Jhang, whereas respectively one positive case is being reported in Attock, Lodhran, Nankana Sahib, Narowal and Sahiwal.
During last 24 hours the average positivity ratio 3.4 has recorded across the whole Province. Provincial Capital Lahore positivity ratio recorded 3.5, 3.0 in Faisalabad, 1.4 in Bahawalpur and 0.5 in Sialkot.
Sarah Aslam instructed the public, adherence to SOPs and timely vaccination is the only key to cope with Delta variant, as its likely to be one of the dominant strains of COVID-19 in Pakistan and worldwide. She also appreciated the public inclusion in vaccine drive.
