Lahore, Dec 31:Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Imran Sikandar Baloch Chaired 237th Provincial Quality Control Board. Action was taken against 94 medicine related cases, while 60 regular and 34 cases for testing appeal were taken under observation.

34 cases of board retesting were sent to NIH, meanwhile 16 cases were forwarded to drug courts and last waring issued to 29 cases. Secy P&SHD instructed to follow the Good Manufacturing Practice GMP. Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Imran Sikandar Baloch while expressing his views said, quality of available medicine would not be compromised. Stressing upon the quality provision, he suggested to improve performance of all drug testing labs for better manufacturing. While adding more, he emphasized on quality manufacturing, labelling and packaging of the medicine.

Secy P&SHD instructed provision of life saving drugs must be ensured at any cost and Department is working diligently on quality medicine with appropriate price range to the public of Punjab.
