Secretary, Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab Sarah Aslam reviewed daily activities of COVID-19 across the Punjab. Province witnessed a gradual decrease in COVID-19 infection rate. Yesterday 128 new cases have been reported, bringing the total number of cases to 346,582. Until now 327,686 patients have fully recovered across the province while the number of active cases is 8،129. Yesterday 16،973 test samples were taken while a total of 5,6691،036 tests have been taken so far. In the previous 24 hours, the corona virus caused 6 more deaths across the province, including 1 deaths in Lahore, bringing the total number of deaths to 10,767. Last day 77 cases were reported in Lahore, 8 in Multan, 6 in Pakpattan, 5 in Faisalabad, 5 in Nankana Sahib, 4 in Rawalpindi, 3 in Bahawalpur, 2 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 2 in Gujranwala, 2 in Muzaffargarh, 2 in Sialkot, 1 in Bhakkar, 1 in Chakwal. 1 in Gujarat, 1 in Kasur, 1 in Layyah, 1 in Mianwali, 1 in Narwal, 1 in Okara, 1 in Rajan Port, 1 in Sahiwal, 1 in Sheikhupura, and 1 in Vehari. Yesterday, the average positivity ratio of COVID-19 was 0.8 in all the cities across the province. The provincial capital Lahore recorded a positivity ratio of 1.0, 0.3 in Rawalpindi, 0.7 in Faisalabad and 0.3 in Bahawalpur
. In this regard Secretary P&SH Sarah Aslam said that Vaccines for COVID-19 are available in abundance at all the centers, so all citizens over the age of 18 must be vaccinated against the corona virus.
