The 31st BoD’s meeting of the Punjab Health Foundation was held under the chair of Provincial Minister for Health Dr. Yasmeen Rashid at the Department of Specialized Health Care & Medical Education. The meeting was also attended by Secretary Primary & Secondary Health Care Mohammad Amir Jan, Secretary Southern Punjab, Mohammad Ajmal Bhatti, Managing Director Punjab Health Foundation Dr. Kiran Khursheed, Prof. Javed Chaudhry and other members of the Board of Directors.
The meeting under the chair of Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid took important decisions and reviewed the performance of Punjab Health Foundation. The meeting approved the decisions of the 30th meeting of the Punjab Health Foundation. The meeting also gave approval to recruit more contract employees in the IT section. During the meeting, various suggestions and opinions were came under discussion to make the Punjab Health Foundation more productive and conducive for health professionals. Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that health professionals were facilitated through Punjab Health Foundation in the past. She further stated that after holding the portfolio of Health Minister, Punjab Health Foundation is providing numerous facilities to many health professionals.
She said that record loans have been given to health professionals through Punjab Health Foundation adding that 354 health professionals have been given loans through Punjab Health Foundation this year. The Punjab Health Foundation has been set up to support them, she added. She assured that PHF will maximum facilities pharmacists as large number of pharmacists are contacting Punjab Health Foundation for personal business. She said that incumbent government has turn the PHF useful and beneficial for the health professionals according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The government is expecting international standard blood banks in the private sector. She said that the loan period of Punjab Health Foundation has also been extended in order to provide maximum relief to the health professionals. Prime Minister Imran Khan has been briefed about the steps taken by Punjab Health Foundation for the betterment of health professionals. There is a positive change in the portfolio of Punjab Health Foundation. She said that loans of Rs 400 million have so far been distributed among doctors, homeopathic, BDS and other sectors.
