Shortage of lifesaving medicine Angised
ISLAMABAD: Patients of cardovesular and hypertension are facing problemt to get essential medicine Angised from the market. People are searching it store to store but unable to find it.
Angised tablet is low cost medicine to treat the symptoms of heart attack and considered a emergency medicine to prevent the heart attack. All major store in Lahore are facing shortage of this medicine as supplier of drugs are not supplying this medicine to stores.

“Angised is an organic nitrate, prescribed for angina and heart failure. It relaxes blood vessels and helps the heart in pumping the blood easily,” told a heart specialist to this scribe.
Glaxo Smilth Kline is the manufacturer of the Angised in Pakistan and distributed by many supply chains but the company was failed to produce and supply it to the stores that is why the market is facing the shortage of this lifesaving drug.
People believe that it is an effort of the company to increase the price of the Angised 0.5mg tablets. The cost of 60 tablets is around Rs.50 at present. A patient in Okara has died due to non availability of Angised yesterday.
Patients have demanded to government to investigate the shortage of the lifesaving drugs and act effectively to the groups who are behind this fiasco.
“Pharmaceutical companies have discontinued supplying lifesaving and other essential medicines to pharmacies until a decision regarding drugs prices is made. With there being no supply, the common man is suffering amid the consequent demand-supply gap.”
According to sources the essential medicines are not available in the market and pharmaceutical industries are deliberately creating the shortage of different drugs to increase the prices. A source told that last month people were facing the shortage of Lowprin which is a thinner of blood. Thyroxin, Panadol and lowplate were not available to people last month.
