The death rate reaches 10,000 in Pakistan. A number of countries have booked vaccines in their preliminary phases to have them available in the country to vaccinate their people against the virus.
Pakistan have also booked to purchase 1.2 million vaccines from Sinopharm China, Fawad Chaudhary told the public.
“The Cabinet Committee has decided to initially purchase 1.2 million doses of the vaccine from the Chinese company Sinopharm, which will be provided free of cost to frontline workers in the first quarter of 2021,” Fawad Chaudhary tweeted.
Corona vaccine made by Sinopharm China has been first to get approval for general public use.
This decision was taken in the meeting of Special Cabinet Committee for the procurement of Corona virus.
Minister for Plannind Asad Umar, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary, Minister for Industries Hammmad Azhar, Dr. Sania Nishtar and Dr. Fiasal Sultan attended the meeting.
58 more people died of Coronavirus in the country during the last twenty-four hours.
According to the latest data shared by the National Command and Operation Center, 2,475 people tested Covid positive during this period after tests of 39,695 people.
The figure of active Covid cases in the country is 34,537 while 435,073 people have been recovered from the virus.
It was also decided that other manufacturers of COVID-19 vaccine will continue to be engaged in for future bookings for the remaining phases of vaccination, based on further data and availability.
The committee reiterated that the private sector will also be encouraged to approach DRAP and follow the laid down procedures for emergency use authorization of any available and safe COVID-19 vaccine.

The record given by NCOC (National Command and Operation Center) 2,745 people tested positive by corona after 39,695 tests done in twenty four hours.
The active cases in Pakistan today are 34,537 and 435,073 people have recovered from the corona virus.
