PESHAWAR: Non availability of beds in all hospitals of Peshawar came out the surface in the second wave of Corona virus.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was informed that all major hospitals in Peshawar are running on full capacity to treat Covid-19 patients.Culture and labour minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai informed the assembly that Hayatabad Medical Complex , Khyber Teaching Hospital, and a private hospital are unable to accommodate the new patients of Corona virus. Only Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar is treating new patients of Corona infection.

He said that KP health system is under pressure due to increase of pandemic in second wave. The minister while responding to questions of members said that positivity rate of infections is on rise and the opposition is organising the public rallies against government.
He assured the house that government is ready to give detail briefing to opposition parties on the issue of Covid-19 spread.
The Minister said opposition has indulged in non serious behaviour as it is not posing any threat to government but it’s rallies and gatherings are a serious threat to public lives.
“The opposition’s rallies can’t pose any threat to the government but we are more concerned about public life and economy,” Yousifazai said.
“It is double standard that Peoples Party’s government in Sindh has imposed smart lockdown in different cities but party is holding protests in KP”, said the minister.
