LAHORE, January 26: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid gave deadline of 2022 for the completion of Mother and Child Hospital Ganga Ram here on Tuesday.
The Minister visited the site of the under-construction Mother and Child Hospital at Ganga Ram Hospital. Present on the occasion were Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Amir Zaman Khan, Medical Superintendent Ganga Ram Hospital Dr. Ehtesham ul Haq, Project Director Ejaz Shaikh and officers of the Building Department. The Project Director shared the latest progress on the project with the Minister.

The Health Minister said, “Mother and Child Hospital shall be completed by June 2022. In the year 2022, the state-of-the-art hospital shall be opened for the general public. There is no shortage of funds for this project. Work is underway at full pace for this project. We shall be able to save lives of thousands of mothers and children with this facility. The completion of the hospital is as per the commitment of Prime Minister Imran Khan towards public health. The Mother and Child Hospital shall help us achieve targets of global health strategy. Vice-Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Amir Zaman Khan is personally monitoring the progress. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar is being regularly updated about the pace of work at various mother and child hospitals.”
