LAHORE, December 23:Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid congratulated the new promoted Professors who got promoted from Associate Professors BPS 19 to Professors BPS 20 here on Wednesday.
The Specialized healthcare and Medical Education Department has issued notification of the promotion of staff from Associate Professors to Professors category. The following staff were promoted: In Surgery Section, Dr. Yasin Rafi King Edward Medical University, Dr. Andaleeb Khanam Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Dr. Wasim Hayat Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Ata Latif Faisalabad Medical University, Dr. Mohammad Zakir Allama Iqbal Medical College, Dr. Munawar Jamil Quaid-i-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur, Dr. Chaudhry Naveed AKhtar Nishter Medical University Multan, Dr. Fakhar Hameed Faisalabad Medical University, Dr. Mohammad Akram Faisalabad Medical University, Dr. Mohammad Rehman Gulzar Faisalabad Medical University and Dr. Hurriyat Afzal Fatima Jinnah Medical University.
In Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Faisal Mushtaq at Services Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. Shujat Hussain Quaid-i-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur were promoted.
In Ophthalmology category, Dr. Qasim latif Chaudhry Allama Iqbal Medical College, and Syed Ahmed Hussain Nishter Medical University were promoted.
In Bio Chemistry Category, Dr. Shahzad Farooq Faisalabad Medical University, Dr. Samina Zaman of Pediatric Histopathology Children Hospital Lahore, Dr. Ambrin Khan of Anesthesia Quaid-i-Azam medical Bahawalpur, Dr. Abdus Salam Malik Quaid-i-Azam medical Bahawalpur.
The Health Minister said that record promotions have been made in the last two years. She appreciated Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Barrister Nabeel Awan for expediting the process and ensuring its timely completion.
