The three districts of Punjab are going to have a special anti-polio campaign in which polio vaccine will be injected in the children.
The campaign will be held in 113 UCs(Union Councils) of Lahore, Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan told by the Head of pujab Polio programme Sundas Irshad.
She told that the government has planned this campaign for children from 4 to 59 months of age and they will be provided free of cost Injectable polio vaccine. She continued that 14 cases have been reported in 2020.
in the previous month chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has appealed to the parents, at the start of the 5-day anti-polio campaign, to get their children to administer the anti-polio drops. Usman Buzdar said that polio is a fatal disease and protection of the children is an obligation as well as a responsibility. The CM said that he will personally monitor the anti-polio campaign and directions have been issued to the concerned officers to run this campaign effectively. Security of polio workers will also be ensured, he added.
