LAHORE: Numbers of corona virus cases are increasing rapidly and government has directed three teaching hospitals and expo center to do all necessary arrangements to treat the corona patients. A high alert situation declared in Lahore hospitals as the number of critical patients and deaths increasing every day.

Health department has directed the administration of expo center to reopen the facility and prepare itself to admit the critical patients if hospitals run out of the beds. Expo center facility was closed down some months ago when government decided to send the cases of coronavirus in home isolation.
Health department issued a notification and directed the General Hospital, Services and Jinnah Hospitals to prepare their facilities and operationalize their ICUs to treat the critical patients of coronavirus.
Mayo Hospital was directed to operationalize the Hall 2 of expo center so that new critical cases may be admitted there.
Punjab Government also decided to stop the major surgeries in major hospitals to spare the doctors and para medical staff for the treatment of covid-19 patients.
CEO of Mayo Hospital, Dr.Asad told that 300 bed facility in Expo Center is fully activated now and ready for the new admission of those patients who are facing complaints of low oxygen level.
