Lahore: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed all the concerned departments to resolve the issue of transfer of land to construct the 1000 bed general hospital at Ferozepur road. CM Buzdar principally approved the project in a meeting here and said that after 30 years a hospital is being constructed in provincial headquarters.
The approval was given in a meeting of cabinet’ standing committee on finance department, in which others projects for public interest were also discussed and CM approved the projects.
Chief Minister Usman Buzadar has said that previous governments did not pay attention to the health facilities and people were deprived of the health coverage. He said that every citizen of the province will get health coverage till the end of 2021. He said that government is committed to assure health facilities as soon as possible. Chief Minister also approved the construction of an emergency and OPD block in DG Khan Teaching Hospital at the cost of Rs.2 billion.
Chief Minister has also approved the construction of panaghahs( shelter homes) at all divisional headquarters and metropolitan cities of the provinces and asked the bait ul mall to cooperate in this project.
